CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
PUPPY CLASS
.This is a 6 week course and is designed to focus building all the learning skills your pup will need to become a well rounded family pet. As well as covering basic obedience your dog will build on his confidence and improve his social skills, we include plenty of socialisation work, to both other dogs and people. We only use positive reinforcement methods.
We use treats and toys to reward your dog, and if dog finds something rewarding it is more likely to repeat it. We do not use any force or "dominance" type training. Studies have shown that our dogs do not want to "dominate us", they just need clear guidelines from us from the beginning.
With the methods we use, we give your dog a choice, if he makes the right choice, which we have helped him achieve he will be rewarded. Wrong choice gets nothing. Simple rules, leads to effective easy to follow training.
Key aspects covered in this course include:
We also offer a degree of flexibility into this course as we want you to get what you want out of it. We therefore offer you opportunity throughout the course to tell us about any particular problems that you want to work on.
Members will recieve a welcome pack with all the resources you need to get the best out of your new puppy!
